Join us and Katie from Dozy Doats (Cottage Kitchen Baker in Easton, MA) for a fun collaboration event on Sunday, April 27th 2pm. Event is at Hammer and Stain South Shore 594 Washington Street, South Easton MA 02379.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This workshop is designed with the beginner in mind to introduce the steps of making and maintaining a sourdough starter, introduce the terminology used in recipes, and we will walk through the steps of making a loaf of bread start to finish. You will learn how to use all of your senses in this hands on class where you will see, smell, and touch flours and doughs at the different stages in bread making. Cost of the class includes the workshop, mature starter to take with you, and a loaf of dough to bake at home!

Info for those who sign up- Wear comfy clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting messy, and an apron if you’d like! To be prepared to bake your loaf at home: a 5-6 quart Dutch oven that is oven safe to 500°F (enameled cast iron is my first choice but I’ve also had a lot of success using something as simple and affordable as a granite-ware roasting pan with lid), parchment paper (Costco’s Kirkland brand hold up well in a hot oven), and a new razor blade or kitchen shears for scoring your loaf right before baking.

Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production of your personalized stencil. Due to the customizations of ALL of our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS! However, if you cancel with at least 48-hours-notice your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for future workshops. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a credit for a future workshop! Please email us (info@hammerandstainsouthshore.com) to cancel. If you do not show up for a workshop that you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment.
